MBA Finance focuses on addressing the critical need for having a more integrated and sustainable financial system, thereby contributing positively to the society where we live and work. The Specialization not only makes students aware of theoretical underpinnings of development but also gives them the opportunity to implement class room learning through various live projects. It imparts skills to use finance for growth and development process that India is presently witnessing.

Curriculum: We will first make students conscious about the broader meaning of development and various theories associated with financial markets. Courses in the first year across all streams are common .During the second year, 17 electives are offered from which the student has to select 10 based on his focus and interest. The second year ,curriculum will become more focused towards Financial Institutions and Markets, Strategic finance, Investment Management, Financial Derivatives and other developmental finance courses involving students in live projects. Students, besides being exposed to practical aspects of capital market, undertake a specific project which involves application of financial management principles.

The Finance department endeavors to enhance the employability of students by exposing them to the industry-practices by conducting Guest lectures, Workshops certificate courses etc..The workshops were conducted on topics like Financial Modeling using Ms-Excel 2007 , Financial Statement Analysis etc;

The FOM has signed an MoU with Ernst n Young to offer elective courses in international taxation especially US TAXATION to MBA students which could help the students get dream offers in global companies in the financial services sector
