Dr. Harekrushna Behera

Assistant Professor (Research)

Dr. Behera joined SRM Research Institute & Department of Mathematics, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) as a Research Assistant Professor in August 2016. Dr. Behera’s main research area is fluid structure interaction problems. The primary focus of his research is to develop analytic and numeric mathematical tools to deal with a class of wave-structure interaction problems arising in the broad field of Ocean Engineering. He is an expert to use various mathematical methods such as eigenfunction expansion methods, least-square approximation method, Green’s function technique, mild-slope approximation, boundary element methods and other appropriate numerical methods to deal with the problems at hand. Apart from fluid structure interaction problem, his current research also focuses on financial derivatives.
