Inaugural function - I Year MBA Programme

A New Beginning

SRM School of management, Ramapuram conducted its inaugural function for MBA newcomers on 01.08.2019.Dr. R. Arulmoli HOD i/c, addressed the gathering with his welcome speech. He spoke in his welcome note about the placements, teaching efforts and the other perks of joining the college. He welcomed the gathering cheerfully for a new career to begin.

Mr.Jayaraman, Regional Head, Business Standard spoke about the importance of pursuing an MBA in their career. He insisted that it is not about something that's extraordinary, but about bringing a small change that attracts everyone. He wished everyone to dream big to become successful leaders.

Mrs. Yogitha Kesavan, Deputy Manager, Sundaram Asset Management Company and alumna of the B-School, shared her happiness to visit the college and cherished her memories while she was a student in terms of practice, project, and internship. She insisted to think out of the box.

Dr. C. Sundar the Dean(S&H)urged the need for research as the percentage of students into research field is very less. He asked the newcomers to utilize the two years’ time effectively to settle successfully for the rest 40 years. He also asked students to take their own interest to enroll themselves in college activities.

Dr. V. Subbiah Bharathi, Director of the Institute, emphasized students to actively participate in the events and programs conducted in the campus. He explained about industry 4.0 transformation happening worldwide and asked students to equip themselves for future changes.

Dr. Selvakumar, Dean, Engineering and Technology, SRMIST, emphasized on quality aspects and its effect in achieving business objectives. He also advised everyone to do a SWOT analysis of oneself.

Mrs. Rajeswari, Head HR of Nippon paints India Pvt. Ltd. was the Chief Guest who gave an interactive speech among the students and shared her views on victory and victim line, Industry expectation, Multi-tasking, successful corporate management and personal health. She insisted on the 5p's-Plan, Prepare, Practice, Perform, and Passion. She also shared her experiences of working in different companies and the ability gained from it. Everyone must have “KSA"-knowledge, skill, and attitude-she added.

Dr.G.Kannan, a faculty member, proposed the vote of thanks.
