Sudhanshu Malik, a final year undergraduate student of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University), Kattankulathur Campus secured over 10 placements -both on campus and off campus level - ranging from multinational companies to some of the emerging startups in India and USA. He has been placed with InfosysCognizantMcKinsey & Company, Unisys, Verizon, EMC2, Teach for India to mention a few alongwith startups based in New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and USA.

When Sudhanshu joined SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) to pursue his under graduation, one of the advices that he followed was to ‘experiment at undergraduation and keep the expertise for the postgraduation.’ Starting from undergoing an international certification course in advanced robotics to shouting slogans for Child Rights on Chennai streets, he has done it all.

Apart from academics, Sudhanshu has pursued his interest in game designing, e-commerce website, ethical hacking and the like.  In the third year, he started with his training in ‘Data Analytics’. He has undergone more than 15 Massive Open Online Courses on Analytics. Sudhanshu won an internship with a US based financial firm after competing with the students from IITs. After winning several online data analytics competitions, he came to realize that this would be his career.

He has also been selected as ‘2015 Yatri’ for ‘2015 Jagriti Yatra’ which is a 15 day, 8000km National Odyssey across India to meet various social and business entrepreneurs of the country.

‘An advice to juniors: Utilize all the opportunities provided by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University). College, and your life as a whole, is what ‘you’ will make of it. Be clear of what you want to do in life. You should be the one making decisions for your life always, but before that, first you should know what you want in life. Explore different areas in your field; try out new things and look for your aim. At this you must be thinking that you know your aim already but trust me you cannot be more wrong here if you haven’t first explored others things. Take your time to try out things and when you are ready with your aim, leave no stone unturned in your journey towards success.’
