Dr. Rajeshkumar A

Myself Dr. A. Rajeshkumar from Thanjavur District. I have graduated from Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute, Trichy and Post-graduation in Agronomy at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai during 2012-2014. In my Post graduation, I have done my research on weed control in maize based intercropping system. I have completed Doctor of Philosophy in Agronomy with the specialization of Integrated Farming System (IFS) at TNAU, Coimbatore and my Ph.D., research was on “Studies on integration of different allied enterprises and resource use efficiency in rice based integrated farming system under lowland condition”. While doing my research activities I have given lectures about Integrated Farming System for lowland condition to Agriculture Production Commissioner of Tamil Nadu, Vice chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, many farmers, Post graduate and Ph.D., scholars.

I have published my research work in peer reviewed scientific journals related to agronomy field and participated many national and international conference related to agriculture science and won many best paper awards in those conferences.

I have three years of research experience in integrated farming system and one year of experience in weed management in maize-based intercropping and 6 months of experience in influence of bio-inoculants in rice plants. Apart from the research experience, 3 years of extension service in agricultural technology dissemination have influenced many farmers. While doing extension service I have published more than 80 agricultural technology and crop specific production information through daily newspaper (Dinamani and Dinakaran newspaper). I have developed successful remunerative IFS model on farmers site through KVK, Needamangalam network of farmers and I have handled 7 National level schemes as Co-Principle Investigator which gave the benefits to the farming community.

Apart from the curricular activities, I have won 3 gold and 1 silver medals in Jovelin throw at National level Inter Agricultural Universities Sports meet organized by Various  ICAR – State Agricultural Universities.
