SRM Institute of Hotel Management has excelled for more than two decades of giving holistic hospitality education. The students are trained rigorously both theoretically and practically. They are encouraged and motivated to participate in all the national and international competitions.

Mr. Anto and Mr. Saurabh Tiga pursuing their final year in B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration participated in SOUTH EAST ASIA’s BIGGEST CULLINARY CHALLENGE, FOOD AND HOSPITALITY SHOW conducted by the CHEFS GUILD OF LANKA and WORLD ASSOCIATION of CHEFS SOCIETIES held at BANDARANAIKE MEMORIAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE HALL, SRI LANKA from 21st to 24th of October 2019.

Along with the other contestants from the whole of south India our two students set off to Srilanka on 18th of October. The two days in between has been used effectively for the preparation of the competitions and also to gain knowledge through conversing with other participants and successful chef.Competitions for our students was held on 21st of October and our students have attached a very beautiful and elegant feather to the cap of SRM IHM by winning a bronze laurel amidst 40 applicants contested in the competitions.

The menu that made our students to achieve the Bronze Medal is PRAWN ON THE SHORE as an appetizer, PISTACHIO CRUSTED LAMB CHOP WITH RED WINE JUS as the main course and HONEY CAKE AND APPLES along with MUD CAKE AND WHITE CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT CREAM as hot and cold dessert respectively.The contestants to participate and win the prize in student category from India at the South East Asia’s Biggest Cullinary Challenge, Food And Hospitality Show are the students of SRM IHM.
