On 14.10.2019 our celebrity chef Ms Kavitha Ramachandran (Chef Malgudi Kavitha) of  viruddhalachalam cuddalore district and also a member of SICA who  has completed about 800 episodes in puthu yugam TV “ Ungal Kitchen Yengal Chef”. She has also successfully completed the nonstop cooking marathon about 35 hours and 2 mins. The Event started at 10:30 A.M and Ms. Malgudi Kavitha , the chief guest arrived and she gave us a motivating and encouraging speech before beginning the workshop. The morning session was very interactive and fun filled with her talk. Throughout the workshop she constantly engaged the students with valuable culinary information. The following are the dishes prepared by her throughout the day split into two sessions.

Morning session

  • Gutti Vankaya Koora (Andhra) - Special traditional method of preparation curry with eggplant
  • Thuoll milagu Mutton Thookku (Chettinadu) - Pepper powder minced mutton gravy
  • Uradha Kori Gassi (Karnataka) - Country chicken cooked in typical Mangalorean style, When our chef completed these delicacies by 1:20pm. Within a break of 30mins she started with the remaining dishes for the evening session. She had explained all the nutrient value for each dish.  The evening session started by 2 pm.

Evening session

  • Hyderbadi kodi biryani (Telungana) - layers of chicken rice cooked with aromatic spices and fried chicken
  • Varutharaicha nijandu kari (kerela) - succulent crab tossed in homemade spices
  • Basle soppu palya (Konkani) - spinach and lentil cooked with regional spices

And the session got over by late evening and the chef was felicitated by our college vice principal Ms Lalitha Shri. And at the last there was a photo session with all the students and staffs who made the workshop a success for the day.
