Nutrition week is celebrated from September 1 to September 7.
A book, entitled Food-The Heart Of Life based on the nutritional recipes and the importance of nutritious food was released last month by The Vice-Chancellor of SRM Institue of Science and Technology and the first copy was given to Chef. Thomas Gugler, the President of WACS and also to Chef. Manjith Gill, The President of IFCA.
In addition to that, our nutrition faculties along with our students did an awareness campaign on the importance of Nutritional food in the nearby Government school at Guduvanchery.
A speech was delivered by our students with the help of teaching aids on how to avoid Junk Foods.
A play was enacted by our students emphasizing the importance of food, the necessity to have the breakfast compulsorily and the importance of the value of food along with the healthy habits was brought forth.
