The computing facilities and the classroom environment in the IT Department is an ergo-assistive work-study environment open to students, faculty and researchers. It has state of the art computing facilities to enable the students, faculty and researchers to achieve their task with ease of operation in their area of interest. The department has to its credit 14 laboratories (Open Source Technologies, Cyber Forensics, Networking, Database, Visual Programming, Embedded Systems lab, CISCO Network Academy etc), and a total of over 500 systems.
The department has recently setup a private cloud infrastructure and 60% of the labs are virtualized, to have flexibility and efficient utilization of available systems. A state of the art, “Data Analytics lab” was setup in collaboration with EMC2 to carry out projects and research on Big Data.
