SOP FOR PHYSICAL REOPENING OF UNIVERSITY for TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF & OTHERS

Annoncements Description: 

TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

  • Wearing mask is mandatory for every individual including the Administrative staff, teaching faculty and other stakeholders inside the campus.
  • All faculty and may download the 'Aarogya Setu' app on their mobile phones to assess the risk of   infection.
  • Faculty should stay in one place in the classroom while lecturing and should avoid moving around.  Physical proximity, hand shake etc., are discouraged
  • Faculty must not gather in groups in the corridors and other open areas to avoid possible transmission of virus from any undetermined personnel.
  • Virtual meetings and seminars should be encouraged to avoid gatherings in meeting halls, seminar halls and auditoriums.
  • Identify and isolate symptomatic faculty and staff if they have any symptoms & direct them to the medical facility. 
  • All must sanitize their hands using liquid soap or hand sanitizers.
  • All must carry good quality personal hand sanitizer and sanitize their hands often.
  • Advisable to wear the recommended hand gloves and shoes
  • All should follow the staggered time while using the canteen, shops, banks and other such common utility areas.
  • All are advised to carry their own food and water & other essential items.

RECRUITERS, DELEGATES AND RESOURCE PERSONS

  • Academic support visitors shall cooperate by respecting & adhering to the prescribed protocol while entering & staying in the campus.
  • All academic support visitors should wear mask when inside the campus.
  • They must collect the necessary pass while entering the campus.
  • All academic support visitors may download the "Aarogya Setu" app on their mobile and should self-assess their health status.
  • In case academic support visitors carry symptoms of COVID -19 they may be refrained from entering the campus.
  • All academic support visitors should maintain physical distance in the campus.
  • Vehicles of such visitors should be allowed into the campus till the nearest point of their destination to avoid unnecessary movement. Principal / Director / Head of the department / Sectional head should receive the respective persons.
  • All academic support visitors should sanitize their hands at the ‘pedal operated’ sanitization station before entering into the respective blocks.

VISITORS 

  • All visitors should necessarily collect Visitors Pass.
  • They must wear mask when inside the campus.
  • All the members may download the "Aarogya Setu" app on their mobile and should self-assess their health status.
  • Vehicles should be allowed into the campus till the nearest point of their destination.  
  • All visitors should sanitize their hands at the pedal operated sanitization station before entering the respective blocks.
  • All visitors should maintain physical distance from others in the campus.
  • EXTERNAL SERVICES PERSONNEL (OUTSOURCED MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL) 
  • All external service personnel should wear the mask when inside the campus.
  • All must wear respective ID card.
  • All external service personnel should download the “Aarogya Setu” app on their mobile and should self-assess their health.
  • All external service personnel should maintain physical distancing in the campus.
  • All external service personnel should sanitize their hands.
  • All external service personnel may prefer to wear the recommended  hand gloves
  • All external service personnel should wear gloves while cleaning / housekeeping.
  • External service personnel should not gather at one place while taking the food at lunch   time

VENDORS

  • All vendors, drivers, helpers of the vehicles and load men should wear mask.
  • All must wear the designated ID card.
  • They should go through Thermal Test before entering the Campus.
  • Those who have generic symptoms of continuous cough, being tired and having fever they should not be allowed inside the campus.
  • Their vehicle and its occupants should be kept aside.
  • They should be asked to go for test or sent back 
  • If they are ready for the test, hospital should be alerted. 

SUPPLIERS OF GOODS TO THE CANTEEN / STORES / HOSPITALS / MESS

  • All suppliers should be told about the restrictions and the necessity of adhering to them in each visit.
  • All should wear mask all the time inside the campus.
  • If they are moving eatables and medicines, clean gloves is mandatory.
  • They should not loiter in all the places and should be restricted to their own area of functioning.
  • They should give their contact details to the Security Personnel at the gate.
  • The vendors may be requested to use same set of people to serve or supply goods to SRM.
  • Each and every one of them should be made to undergo thermal testing before entering the campus. 
  • Crowding at the gate should be avoided all the time.
  • Mandatory to wear their ID cards. 

PATIENTS AND THEIR RELATIVES VISITING HOSPITALS                         

  • All should wear masks compulsorily.
  • Relatives of the patients should undergo Thermal testing at the gate itself. If it is an emergency, the details of the vehicles and the contact number of the occupants should be shared to the hospital, so that they will do the thermal testing before allowing them inside. 
  • Wearing of masks and thermal testing should be made usual norm for all and especially regular visitors/ relatives of the patients during each visit.
  • Attendee pass is mandatory for such visitors.

EMPLOYEES – DRIVERS, MAINTENANCE WORKERS AND SUPERVISORS

  • All should wear masks all the time inside the campus wherever they go.
  • Thermal testing should be done at the resting points for the drivers as it may not be possible when they come in bringing Faculties and other employees in buses and vans. 
  • After getting people and goods inside the Campus, their area of resting should be defined and they should not be allowed to wander to all the places.
  • They should be told that since it is highly contagious, they should not venture to all the places and remain safe in their respective locations. 
  • While in their locations also, wearing of face masks, wearing ID is mandatory. Social distance should be maintained.
  • If they come across any of their passengers with severe cough with visible tiredness, they should alert the concerned authorities.

CANTEEN AND MESS STAFF

  • All should wear masks all the time as they are exposed to more number of people.
  • All canteen staff should wear clean gloves while serving 
  • Those who clean the table and utensils should be extra careful and wear masks and gloves.
  • They can also advise and guide students to wear masks and maintain social distance.
  • They should not allow crowd near cash counter and food supply counter.
  • They should insist on electronic payment mode in canteens.
  • They may advise people not to sit around a table in a crowded manner 
  • They should make sure that the used utensils are taken away as soon as possible after the use. 

GARDNERS AND SANITARY STAFF 

  • They should wear masks all the time inside the campus
  • They should walk through the thermal scanner as they enter campus for work.  
  • Since they are the one who dispose garbage and used things, they should be trained and educated on the importance of keeping their hands clean.
  • They should be encouraged to use sanitizer after cleaning any place and disposal of any garbage. 
  • They should be asked to clean/wipe handles, taps etc., in restrooms frequently.
  • They have the habit of crowding together while eating and resting. This should be avoided. They should be made aware of the importance of social distancing. 
  • The supervisors should ensure that all his team members follow protocol.

SECURITY PERSONNEL

  • All must wear masks all the time.
  • All should undergo thermal testing before starting their duty on a daily basis. 
  • If there is a need to frisk people or check the vehicle, they should wear gloves. 
  • They should use sanitizers before and after the physical checking of vehicle and persons. 
  • Those who do the thermal checking must maintain social distance from those whom he is testing. 
  • Security personnel should make sure that each visitor wear face mask and stop those who are not wearing mask from entering the campus.
  • They should not exchange common usable things  like sticks, whistles and Pens etc.,
